Hong Kong - Asia’s World City

Long known as a commercial center, Hong Kong has become much more than a shopper’s paradise. It is a multi-cultural, multi-faceted city with a world of attractions. On his Hong Kong adventure, Joseph takes in the luxury hotels, designer shops and Michelin-star restaurants of Asia’s World City, but also explores its local neighborhoods, colorful markets, places of natural beauty and meets the people who retain their connections to their customs and traditions. He discovers that while Hong Kong is a vibrant international town, it is the people and their cultural heritage that keeps him coming back for more.

imageHong Kong’s Wine & Dine Festival has quickly established itself as one of the world’s premier epicurean festivals. Hong Kong Tourism Board launched its first Wine & Dine Festival in November 2009. Held outdoors on the West Kowloon waterfront and against the breathtaking backdrop of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong’s iconic skyline, it featured over 280 booths as well as wines from 19 different countries and regions.  The Wine & Dine Festival backdrop has set a new standard for food and wine festivals as only Hong Kong can claim such a majestic setting of harbor, mountains and skyscrapers, truly making it the world’s leading “Urban Wine Territory”.

In 2011, the 3rd annual Wine & Dine Festival was a spectacular success and generated attendance of 170,000 wine enthusiasts, a 55% increase versus 2010 attendance of 110,000. The festival was followed by November’s Food & Wine month in Hong Kong, which offered an incredible array of epicurean events and savings throughout the city. And wine continues to be an important aspect of Hong Kong’s appeal and natural complement to the superb Cantonese cuisine.  As one of most celebrated culinary capitals, Hong Kong is a natural festival site, offering a wide variety of cuisines that embrace with artful ease the great Eastern and Western influences. Stay tuned for the 4th Wine & Dine Festival, which will be held on the West Kowloon Promenade from Nov 1 - 4, 2012. For more information visit www.discoverhongkong.com/usa

image No-Jet-Lag - Don’t let jet lag spoil your trip. Don’t spend days after arrival being a bit like a zombie, not feeling 100%, and waking during the night. It’s hard to avoid. A survey of international flight attendants said 96% of them suffer from jet lag when flying long distances.

No-Jet-Lag is a natural product made in New Zealand, (where we have no choice about flying long distances) and it’s safe and effective. Arrive fresher on arrival. It’s listed with the FDA, and taking it is simple. Chew one tablet every two hours if awake and one on arrival. Click here for more info.
